Some points in favor:
* PATs have an expiry date, this means that every X number of days (currently 30) devs will need to generate a new token and authenticate again, same for pipelines operating on private repos not in the same project.
* Automated processes need either an OAuth way or SSH key to operate continuously without interruptions.
* A lot of git users are more familiarized with SSH and preferred it
