Current state forces users who are listed as being a potential approver for an FME change to get email notifications for every change. In large orgs, this could become overwhelming.

Desired state would include a preference engine to help a user silence notifications for certain flags/segments at the source.

An alternative approach to reach the same desired outcome would be to allow another option on an environment's settings. Currently, we can enforce users select their own approvers or enforce users get a pre-determined list of users. This could be expanded to include a hybrid approach wherein users get a pre-determined list of users from which they can/must select particular users to approve. This ensures the proper folks are approving, but still gives some flexibility to the requestor.
