Hi team,
Last time we have checked with you for uploading files during the time of pipeline execution, we were recommended to use the uploadFiles step under custom stage.
Upon checking, we were informed that the files uploaded using the step will remain for 37 days and post that they will automatically be deleted and users cannot remove them.
We would like to request for a feature where users can delete / remove the files as well.
Can you please let us know if this feature can be implemented?
Thank you

Thank you for raising this request. To better evaluate the requirement and explore potential solutions, can you please help us with a bit more detail on your current use case?
- File Types: What types of files are being uploaded (e.g. build artifacts, reports, configuration files, etc.)?
- Use Case: What is the purpose of uploading these files — are they consumed by later stages, stored for audit, shared across pipelines, or used for troubleshooting?
- Retention Needs: How long do you typically need these files to be retained?
- Reason for Manual Deletion: Is the ask primarily for occasional manual cleanup (accidental uploads, sensitive data, etc.), or for regular cleanup operations?
- Why Custom Stage: Was the uploadFiles step selected due to limitations with standard artifact storage, or is this data not suitable for artifact repositories? Why is the upload not performed from CI/CD staged?
This information will help us understand if additional retention controls, artifact storage, or alternative solutions may be better suited for your scenario.
Thank you for your help!
