Harness currently offers great support for GitHub repo details in CI stages (See https://developer.harness.io/docs/continuous-integration/use-ci/codebase-configuration/built-in-cie-codebase-variables-reference), however, there is no feature parity for equivalent functionality in CD stages. For more advanced use cases when we need to use GitClone step in CD stages, is very difficult to carry forward the same settings for Github repo name , branch or commit ID than in the code base due to lack of built-in expressions that can be used in CD stages
