Dashboards should include an auto-save functionality, as users may occasionally be logged off unexpectedly. Without auto-save, any unsaved changes would be lost, requiring users to redo their work.

One comment I have is that if the same dashboard is open by multiple users it would cause and issue. We use dashboard templates so an autosave function would affect our template while the developer is working on it to adjust the filters for their specific need. Sometimes a single dashboard template is all most developers may need which is why we implemented templates.
I save my dashboards often to avoid losing my work, which is a bit tedious. Maybe an auto-save icon would help, that would apply only to that specific dashboard. For dashboard templates that are often used, I would disable the auto-save.

While typing details for creating a support case, the details are deleted if a user accidentally closed the tab. The user has to re-enter the details again. This has also been noticed across modules in harness where there is no warning when clicking off of them and until the user realises they have lost everything they just typed or configured. Having some sort of a warning or having these details auto saved shall help remove the toil of rentering again.
