Custom dashboard to view feature flags across projects
long-term
P
Persimmon Moth
Currently, there is no way to view all feature flags, their status, activity, etc across projects. The rollout board and environments tab can show feature flags for that project, but leadership would like visibility across all apps for a more birds-eye view of feature flag utilization.
This would be useful to integrate into the Harness reporting capabilities.

FME dashboards

Presented the Gainsight Dashboard and Aaron saw it as a good starting point for operational visibility, but not yet actionable enough for adoption analytics or leadership reporting. Complete feedback:
What was well-received
Provides a high-level view of Feature Flags usage in the environment
Helps identify old or inactive flags and cleanup opportunities
Useful baseline metrics such as:
Flags and MTKs utilization
FME Usage
FME Feature Usage
Active flags overview
Primary gaps identified
Lack of team-level, service or project-level segmentation (project name only available in the Active Flags table but can not show it overtime in a graph)
Hard to extract strategic insights or support storytelling of adoption
Limited value for executive reporting or proving expansion benefits
Access is not frictionless (must open from email link each time)
Very limited flexibility for customization or deeper drill-downs

Compare Key Treatments Across Environments
Johannes Liegl
Customer would like to be able to compare what treatment a key received in one environment compared to another environment for a given flag.
They have 3 environments (Stage, Beta, Prod) and want to be able to see a report of what treatment keys received in Beta and what treatment those same keys received in Prod.
Currently to do this they will be setting up the impressions webhook and then generating their own reports but have requested a more seamless way to pull this from the platform directly.

Flag usage and flags enabled
Johannes Liegl
Customer currently use LD and would like to be able to understand and see which flags are in use and also which flags enabled when they are toggled on. We don’t have custom notifications like this but they would like a way to monitor usage of flags.

Administrator's Dashboard of Flags
Johannes Liegl
Customer would like to see a dashboard for Administrators of all the flags across Projects similar to what they see in the Environments tab.
They have a team of administrator's that manages the whole platform and about 20 projects so to go from project to project and environment to environment to see the activity happening in each can be cumbersome for them. They want a quick way to view this.

Compare state of toggles across environments in one single view
I
Iram Khan
One of the challenges customers have at the moment is an easy way to compare the state of toggles across multiple test environments. Their current solution displays the status of toggles in a single environment, so when they need to setup a new environment we need to have multiple tabs open, scrolling up and down, and making manual comparisons. Other solutions provides a simple grid dashboard view of the toggles, on the y-axis is a list of all the toggles, and on the x-axis are the environments, the grid then displays the state of the toggles. The user then merely has to scan across the grid to understand and compare the states of each environment. This is a feature that would be beneficial to us, and would reduce mistakes when configuring new environments
Harness feature management FF Classic used to provide this view, and this is exactly the feature that we are looking for.

Individual Flag Dashboard or Audit Log Consolidation
Johannes Liegl
Customer is in the process of preparing to migrate to FME from FF Classic. During the demo they raised that currently they do not have a good way to view the status of a flag across multiple environments and what is available in FME today does not get them all the way there yet.
They'd like to be able to see a dashboard at an individual flag level to be able to compare in one view what is configured in different environments for a flag. Alternatively, being able to view all the audit logs across environments for a flag could help here.

Show FME stats in the Unified dashboard
E
Eburnean Hedgehog
For the customer one of the key selling points of FME is the integration with CD. Can they have a dashboard of some kind? - One view that shows us the deployments that have happened, flags that have changed states recently? - Unified view exists today for all other modules including CD but we don't have one for FME. Would be good to integrate FME related things within the Unified View that highlights what feature flags have changed recently, pushed to production etc.
Some great examples to have:
FME Metrics for Unified View
Recent Activity
Recent flag state changes (who, what, when)
Flags modified in last X hours/days
Current Flag Impact
Flags currently serving non-default treatments
Flags active in production
Experimentation
Active experiments (status, goal progress)
Conversion metrics (uplift, significance)
Deployments + Flag Toggles
Unified timeline view of deployments + flag changes
Correlation for RCA/postmortem
Ownership & Hygiene
Flags by owner
Orphaned/stale flags
SDK evaluation counts
Categorization
Flags by tag/type (e.g. kill-switch, experiment)
Short-lived vs long-lived
Cleanup candidates

Custom Feature Flag Reporting Requirements for Executive Level Visibility
Q
Quicksilver grey Ox
Our leadership and business stakeholders require comprehensive visibility into feature flag configurations across all client deployments. This visibility is essential for Executive Decision-Making, Business Strategy Alignment, Client Success & Risk Management,Compliance & Audit Requirements. I've attached the sample sheet on what exactly they're looking for.
Impact Without This Solution:
- Manual data aggregation is time-consuming and error-prone
- Delays in executive reporting affect business decisions
- Lack of visibility creates risk in client feature management
- Inability to demonstrate feature governance to stakeholders
This request has visibility at the executive level, and your support in addressing this requirement would be greatly appreciated.
