Cross Filtering doesn't allow self-filtering of a table.

In BI Dashboards the cross-filtering operates outward from the selected table, rather than affecting the table itself.
Specifically, when a value is selected in Table 1, the cross-filter is applied to Table2, excluding Table 1. The same applies when selecting a value in Table 2—it filters Table 1 but not Table 2.
If you require Table 1 to filter itself upon selection, you may manually add a dashboard-level filter alongside the cross-filter to enforce the same constraint on both tables simultaneously.
However, the Dashboard level filters are far less intuitive for end users and don't work as well as the instant cross filtering. I don't understand why a table can't filter itself. The filter is easy enough to remove from the top of the page. Similar to the perspective - click the chart and it adds the item to the filter and filters the chart and table.
Please consider enhancing this feature by allowing a table to self-filter in the cross-filtering function.
