Add support for HTML Artifacts/Reports
long-term
C
Cooing Rook
Many reports such as coverage, linters, unit tests from various languages, etc use proprietary HTML reports. Harness enables you to upload these reports as artifacts to S3 or similar, but it does not support HTML reports natively. I would like to see this feature make it to Harness similar to https://plugins.jenkins.io/htmlpublisher/ to support additional quality and build reports

Extend reports type support

Our pipelines currently lack several functions. Specifically, we aim to enhance our capability to store pipeline artifacts, drawing inspiration from the system utilized in Jenkins. By "artifacts," we are primarily referring to logs and reports. The logs are typically stored in text formats such as .log or .txt, while reports are stored as websites, incorporating HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Although Harness offers support for JUnit reports, facilitating the collection of results and their display within the UI, it does not provide a mechanism to gather and store logs or HTML reports for visualization in the Harness interface. In addition to supporting JUnit report types, we are interested in introducing a feature that allows users to define a pattern for collecting log files (for example, '*
/
.log') and to aggregate reports in HTML format. HTML is a widely adopted format for visualizing results across various testing tools, making it a valuable addition to our pipeline capabilities. It will be great to have the functionality to see such reports in Harness UI.

Can we get an update on this ticket? More and more people are asking for this and it has been almost 6 months since we heard back from Harness support. This is a critical and blocking feature for us.
Thanks

Native Code Coverage reporting in the platform

Splitting this post into separate requests. https://ideas.harness.io/continuous-integration/p/add-support-for-html-artifactsreports is tracking the request to show any HTML report in Harness. This suggestion is tracking Code Coverage specific reporting

Add support/Guidance for Performance testing tools like - JMeter and Blazemeter

AS a harness user, I should be able to use inbuilt functionality in harness for JMeter and BlazeMeter so that I can execute performance testing efficiently. And see test results in Harness Test Tab.

Feature Request : Saving Artifacts for pipeline executions
W
Walnut Porcupine
I need to save artifacts such as screenshots, videos, reports, etc, in my pipeline executions, I can see that there's a tab in the execution itself but I can't find in the documentation where I can set this up.
I'll be running E2E tests on Harness so I need to be able to save artifacts such as screenshots, videos and reports that can be downloaded. This is a very common feature on CI platforms.

Can we get an update on this ticket? We haven't heard anything on this since end of last year, a bit over 5 months ago. This is a critical feature for us and it would be great to hear an update on it for planning.
Thanks

I agree with Dan that these shouldn't be merged. While you can add Coverage reports with custom HTML reports, it is not the same as native coverage reporting in the platform. If you added native coverage reporting (I also upvoted Dan's idea) it unlocks much more reporting and functionality. For example, you can add a dashboard that shows coverage over time by project or fail if coverage has dropped compared to the branch you are merging into

Support for Cobertura coverage testing reports
I
Implicit Squirrel
Are there any plans to support Cobertura type reports, such as what comes from Coverage python testing? I have seen support in GitLab and Jenkins and wasn't sure if that was on the roadmap. Working with one customer now that's currently using those and would be nice to natively support them, and ideally, show the code coverage metrics on the testing page.
