Add latest Commit in Git Clone Step

We'd like the latest Commit SHA to be shown in the console logs when running an explicit Git Clone Step. Currently, Codebase Clone when configured with a branch will pull from the latest commit on that branch which shows it in the Console but, a Git Clone step pulls from the specified branch only. We'd like to be able to pull from a branch while also showing the latest CommitSHA in the console logs.

This was my request, and I can answer Nofar Bluestein. I am not sure why an explicit git clone is used in this pipeline, I am not its owner. But I am a consumer of its logs, and I would like any kind of git clone action to show SHA to make sure that I can debug and reproduce a pipeline.

Hey, could you please explain the use case for using the explicit git clone step? Are you using the exploit step to clone as second repository ?
We've recently added additional enhancements to the clone capabilities (for both git clone step and the clone codebase native functionality).
would it be possible to use the native clone rather than the explicit step? when the native clone is used, we show the commit info for push event (branch build)
